The PPG, is a Patient Participation Group, and was set up 7 years ago by a group of individuals who wanted to help the Practice deliver a better service to the community of Gorebridge and surrounding villages.

This wasn’t in anyway a reflection of the service that the GP’s were delivering, but was intended to look at the services offered, and how we could work with the health professionals to provide the best possible care for our community.

To do this, the PPG meet every second month, and discuss any changes or issues that are current at that time. One of our biggest challenges has been to deliver a bigger Practice, to accommodate the ever growing population. Believe it or not we have been working on this for 5 years, and have finally been given planning permission to build and extra 5 rooms onto the existing building. Hopefully, we should see building work commence early in the new year.

Every two years, the PPG conduct a survey, completely independent of the Practice, to review what the public think of the Service, how it is used and what they think could be improved eg, what additional services are required.

In the past this Survey was paper based and handed out by the Reception Staff. However, this year we felt that some people would prefer to complete this in the comfort of their own home. Hence we are using Survey Monkey. There will be additional paper based forms available from reception.

Please note that the NONE of the Practice Staff or Health Professionals get to see individual responses, your responses are completely anonymous. The final collective information, is collated by me, and shared with the other members of the PPG and then the Practice Manager and staff. The survey participants will also receive a copy of the final document, if they wish.

Once again, may I thank you for taking the time to do this.

Best regards

David Robb
